There are First Aid qualified staff all of which enables us to have peace of mind which can only reassure you as  a Parent.

Children will be encouraged to show respect for our staff, one another, theirs and other belongings, the buildings and the equipment. High standards of personal behaviour are expected from everyone who attends the camp. We reserve the right to exclude or refuse any child at any time, prior to and during a holiday if, in our opinion, that person is incompatible with the general well-being of the camp.

Children’s personal property, including baggage, is their own responsibility at all times, unless any loss or damage is due to our negligence or failure to carry out our responsibility. Please ensure that all clothing food and drink are clearly labelled with your child’s name. There is a need to ensure that children have a complete change of clothes for each day.  On the days where there is water activities please ensure that you have an old pair of trainers for the water. For all activities please ensure that any footwear is well fitting and has been worn, to avoid sore feet and potentially spoil the holiday.

The Staff will ensure that the children are told of the water activities for the following day and we will attempt to advise all parents of when wet clothes are needed.  Normally WET activities that involve water/Slides or river adventures, will be towards the end of the week, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday.   This summer we have an extensive water schedule including canoeing, canoe walking, bridge building, raft building and testing. So please ensure that all your children have:

ALL CLOTHES CLEARLY MARKED/LABELLED WITH YOUR CHILDS NAME.

Camp is not a fashion opportunity. So casual wear is essential for a relaxed and comfortable week.  We suggest the following daily clothing; Shorts, Jeans, T shirts *2 (one long sleeved), casual used trainers with a spare pair.  A shower proof jacket (not a heavy coat) Socks *2 pairs, swimming costumes, sweatshirt and a baseball cap for sun.

Dirty clothing will be coming home nightly (sorry) so please ensure they are equipped for the next day.  However those children who are over 8 yrs old and stay for the overnight camp will require two days of clothing especially as the following day will possibly be a day on the river.

However do not despair following the experience of the Easter week we will attempt to dry some of the childrens clothes if they get all wet and need drying out; but we cannot unfortunatley dry everything.  So ensure they have a wet bag, plastic or similar, to bring home their soiled clothes.

Sun tan cream should be applied by Parents a start of the day leaders are not allowed to apply sun cream!! Children can bring their own sun protection cream for own use.

Children’s personal property, including baggage, is their own responsibility at all times, unless any loss or damage is due to our negligence or failure to carry out our responsibility.
Children should only bring toys or other games on special occasions as arranged with their Team Leaders, your co-operation would be very much appreciated as we cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage.

Lost property will be cleared at the end of every weeks camp for 14 days after which clothing taken will be taken to charity shops.  Please contact the admin office if you need to look for lost property.

Changing room pegs may be allocated on the first day, a peg allocation number can  be given to parents to locate spare clothing and sports gear etc
