Children of 4 to 6 years of age participate in our unique Junior Holiday and childcare experience which is a fully OFSTED approved provision and unlike anything else in the Retford area.

Despite ‘Barmy H&S Bureaucracy’ AAH meet the stringent OFSTED requirements for ‘Out of School Care’, with well developed Health and Safety policies, regular checks and maintaining  our adult to child ratios at a high. The activities focus on a mixture of creative art and craft  sessions, team games, child initiated activities and Outdoor Education. Utilising a completely separate timetable our 4 to 6 year olds focus on some of the more adventurous activities such as rock-climbing, archery, canoeing and abseiling.

In addition to these activities, the children also have access to some of our other professionally instructed and led outdoor and indoor activities, such as Martial Arts, Uni-hoc and tennis. This broad and balanced activity programme is designed to introduce children to a range of fun and educational experiences in a welcoming and well maintained environment. All leaders within our Early-Years setting are qualified teachers and Early- Years specialists who are always aware of the children’s safety, individual needs and requirements while in our care, as well as ways of creating a stimulating, inclusive, accessible and diverse program.
